+Procige de l'air pour harpe et computer

prodige de l'air was composed for harp and IRCAM Signal Processing Workstation (ISPW) in October of 1998. For this time, the computer part is arranged to MAX/MSP. This piece has four sections and the harp leads the piece in general. In playing the harp, six special ways, using harmonics, beating the sounding board directly after plucking the string, striking on the steel strings with open hand, striking on the sounding board with fingertips or knuckle, and changing the pedal of the sounding note gradually, were used. The computer program, which was implemented on Max for real-time signal processing, always processes and responds to the harp performance, by executing more than six kinds of digital signal processing, cross-synthesis, granular synthesis, FFT, cross-feed-back, variable delay, and other acoustic effects. And the program played back recorded two harp performances along to the real performance.
